Here's a project that I've been wanting to do for a long time to my hallway closet (maybe 2 years). I actually replaced my original closet door (which was too modern for me) with this antique glass door I found at the local flea market.
I didn't do much to the door. I left the original distressed paint and changed the knob handle. At first I was thinking of placing a fabric curtain behind the door so you couldn't see my clutter inside the closet. But nothing got done and it was left alone for 2 years.
Until a couple of weeks ago I purchased a big Atlas book and it happens to fit the glass window on my closet door with little cutting.
I just measured, cut, and glued the edges to the back of the glass. So if I decide to change it later I can just rip it off without damaging the glass.
I am very pleased with the results and how easy it was to install.
